Be deliberate about placement

At this output you'll see the diodes reflected in a glossy countertop or a glass shelf if you mount the tape where it can be seen from a seated position. Tuck it behind the front lip of the cabinet, or run it in an aluminum channel with a frosted diffuser. The light is worth the extra care.

Power it properly

Bright tape draws real current. A 10-foot run pulls meaningfully more than the same length of 100 lm/ft, so size the power supply with at least 20 percent headroom above your calculated load, and don't run more length off one supply than it's rated for.
