About High Power 250 lm/ft LED Tape Strips
The middle tier, and the most useful one for most jobs. At 250 lumens per foot this tape actually lights the surface underneath it instead of just glowing.
Where it belongs
- Under kitchen cabinets, lighting the countertop
- Inside shelving, display cases and pantries
- Closets and laundry areas
- Stair treads and hallways
- Pool, deck and patio edges (waterproof versions)
How it compares
100 lm/ft is accent light — pretty, not practical for work. This tier is roughly two and a half times brighter and will let you chop vegetables under it. If the counter is your only light source in that part of the kitchen, go to 650 lm/ft instead.
Colors
Cool white, warm white and natural white, plus blue and green for accent runs. Cool white reads crisp and modern; warm white matches incandescent and looks better against wood cabinets.
Also order
A 12V power supply with headroom above your total wattage, solderless clips and couplings for corners and gaps, and a dimmer if you want to dial it back at night.
